NymVPN combines decentralized mixnet technology with traditional VPN features in a single application. The service employs traffic mixing, noise injection, and timing delays to resist surveillance and protect against metadata leaks. Based in Switzerland under Nym Technologies SA, the platform offers both a mixnet mode for enhanced privacy and a fast WireGuard mode for everyday use. Double-hop WireGuard capability allows users to select entry and exit nodes manually. Technical features include kill switch, split tunneling, open-source code, strict no-log policy, and third-party audits. Mobile and desktop applications are available. The decentralized architecture sets NymVPN apart from traditional centralized VPN providers.
